Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- July 4th is a time to celebrate our country’s independence from Great Britain, and to remind ourselves what this country stands for. Delaine Donaldson with the Effingham County Cultural Center & Museum stopped by the studio to give more information on the history of how the holiday has been celebrated over the years, and how Effingham in particular decided to celebrate the holiday throughout history.

Thanks to delaine Donaldson for giving more details on Effingham’s history with the July 4th Holiday. As said during the interview, the Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum will be open from 4-7pm on July 12th (EffinghamJam) for anyone who wants to look around in the historic Old Courthouse.
