Accident Reported On I-70 Eastbound West Of Vandalia

Illinois State Police is reporting an accident on I-70 eastbound near mile marker 50.

From the Tri-Power Towing & Recovery Facebook page:

“We are assisting another tow agency west of Vandalia on 70 EASTbound. ISP is reporting standstill traffic around the 50 mile marker. If you know anyone traveling from St. Louis, please share this information with them. There has been reports of secondary accidents due to the stopped traffic.”

Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
