Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Effingham County Clerk Michelle Kollmann announced that voters can cast a ballot prior to the General Election on November 5, 2024 beginning Thursday September 26, 2024.
Early Voting is being conducted in the Benwood Conference Room, 1st Floor, of the Effingham County Office Building at 101 N. Fourth Street in Effingham. Illinois State Statutes prohibit a person who voted during early voting from voting at the polls on Election Day. The votes cast during the early voting time period will not be tabulated until after the polls close on Election Day.
For the November 5, 2024 General Election, Early Voting will be conducted from Thursday, September 26, 2024 through Monday, November 4, 2024, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon).
A reminder to the voters:
The voter information module is available on the Effingham County website. This voter information module is a resource that allows the voter to check their voter status, polling place location and to update their voter registration info. In addition, the portal gives the voter access to their sample ballot for the current election and the ability to request and track a vote by mail application and ballot.
The Effingham County website address is effinghamcountyil.gov/county-clerk/elections/. Click on Voter Lookup and the voter must provide their first and last name, and either drivers’ license number or last four digits of social security number to gain access to their record.
