Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A listeria outbreak linked to ready-to-eat meat and poultry products has killed an infant and sickened ten other people in four states.
Federal health officials say the outbreak has been tied to products sold by Yu Shang Food, Inc of Spartanburg, South Carolina. The company issued a nationwide recall on Friday for more than 72-thousand pounds of pre-prepared foods. In its latest update, the CDC said cases of illness were reported in California, Illinois, New York amd New Jersey .
Yu Shang Food’s recall covers nearly two dozen varieties of pork belly, chicken feet, duck neck and beef shank products produced before October 28th.
