Nancy Jean (Cox) Jamerson, age 70, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 1:35 PM, Thursday, December 12, 2024, at her son’s home.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM – Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. In loving memory of Nancy, memorials may be made to Jasper County Cancer Fund PO Box 333 Newton, Illinois 62448.
Nancy Jean was born on April 7, 1954, in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond Francis and Lois Madelyn (Clark) Cox. She married Charles Willis “Murf” Jamerson on September 25, 1976, in Newton, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2022.
Nancy was a member of the Falmouth United Methodist Church. She worked for many years at United Technology, IGA and Marathon One Stoppe in Newton, Illinois. Nancy enjoyed traveling and motorcycle riding with her husband Murf. She loved bowling on the league for the West Side Lounge. Nancy was always smiling and loved to have a good time. Her greatest love was spending time with her family & friends.
Nancy is survived by: Children – Heather Jamerson of Newton, Illinois and Heath Jamerson of Newton, Illinois Grandchildren – Jade (Jessica) Angle, Madelyn Bowcock, Jenna Bowcock, Hannah Jamerson, Elaina Lindemann, LJ Rennier, Ashlynn Jamerson Great Grandchildren – Westyn, Everligh, Bryer and Gabriella

Nancy was preceded in death by her father Raymond Cox, stepfather Oren Mulvany, granddaughter Gabby, brother John Orval Cox (November 27, 2024), and sister-in-law Barbara Jean Jamerson.
