Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A large part of the country is set to get hit with frigid temperatures this week.
A mass of Arctic air moved over the northern Rockies last night and shifted towards the Plains as it heads to the East Coast by late tomorrow. It comes as a second blast of cold air is set to move across the same region over the weekend before a third wave of freezing temperatures hits the area next week. That wave of cold weather may bring temperatures and wind chills that could be at levels that haven’t been reached for several years.
Over 30 states may be in for subzero temperatures during the second week of the new month.
