Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- About 39-thousand John Deere mowers in the U.S. are being recalled over an engine issue. The recall impacts John Deere ZTrak Zero Turn Mowers with Kawasaki engines that were sold between October 2018 and September 2024.
The voltage regulator inside the mower’s engine can fail, which can cause the engine to overheat and pose fire and burn risks. Five fires have been reported, along with 26 reports of melting and or smoking. There have been no reports of injuries so far.
