Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Snow is back in the forecast for Friday.
Snow will develop tonight, as early as 9 pm west of I-55, and continue as late as midnight Friday east of I-57. Two to 4 inches are expected from I-55 eastward, with 1 to 2 inches expected to the west. Expect winter driving conditions with slick roadways, especially on lesser traveled or untreated roads. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from around Jacksonville to Bloomington eastward and south. It goes into effect at midnight tonight and is set to expire at midnight Saturday.
There is another slight chance for light snow Sunday. Temperatures will remain below normal through Sunday, with highs ranging from mid 20s to lower 30s and lows from the upper teens to lower 20s.
