Effingham High School Announces Athletes of The Month For December 2024

The Effingham Athletic Department runs an Athlete of the Month program every month. Athletes are nominated by head coaches based upon the following criteria:

•  Stats

• Accomplishments

• Character

• Coachability

• Leadership

• Sportsmanship

Nominations are then sent out to ALL high coaches to vote on a winner. 

The month of December 2024 Winners 

Cali Rinkel, Freshman – Competitive Cheer

“Cali is always working to improve her skills and is very coachable. She shows up and works hard.”

Nolan Fearday, Junior – Boys Basketball

“Nolan brings energy and effort every day regardless of how much playing time he is getting. He has worked himself into a starting role through his hustle and team first mentality. Nolan does all of the little things that make teams more successful. He does a very good job of leading by example.”
