Closings & Cancellations For Wednesday, February 12, 2025

The following are closed or cancelled today, February 12:

SCHOOLS

• Pana CUSD #8: Dismissal at 12:30 pm. PES, PJHS and PHS
• St. Elmo CUSD #202 11:30 am dismissal
• Okaw Valley  CUSD #302:  Dismissing at 11:00 am today. All buses will run their regular routes unless otherwise communicated by your driver. If any parent needs to make other arrangements, please contact the building in which your child attends.
• Sullivan CUSD #300:  SES will dismiss at 11:25am today and SMS/SHS will dismiss at 11:30am. There will be no afternoon Project Help or Early Childhood classes, and no afternoon extracurricular activities.
• Windsor CUSD 1:  Early Dismissal Buses will run normal routes.  Lunch will be served.  HS dismisses at 11:15, Grade School at 11:30
• Charleston CUSD #1: Dismissing students early. The district will follow a half-day schedule, with dismissal times as follows:
  • Mark Twain: 11:00 a.m.
  • Ashmore: 11:10 a.m.
  • Carl Sandburg: 11:15 a.m.
  • Jefferson: 11:30 a.m.
  • CHS: 11:45 a.m.
  • CMS: 11:50 a.m.

• Mattoon CUSD #2 Schools will dismiss early. This includes LIFT Central Illinois. All practices and extracurricular activities have also been canceled
  • Franklin PreK – No PM Classes
  • Franklin All Day PreK Classes – 12:40 p.m. Dismissal
  • Riddle at 12:40 p.m.
  • Williams at 12:40 p.m.
  • Middle School  at 12:54 p.m.
  • High School at 1:09 p.m.
  • LIFT – No afternoon sessions (12:19 p.m. or 1:15 p.m.)
• Vandalia CUSD #203 – E-Learning Day

BUSINESSES

• Graham Family Foot and Ankle Care will be closed
• The Vandalia Statehouse is closed today, and the cookie day event in honor of Lincoln’s birthday is postponed until Thursday, February 13 (depending on road and sidewalk conditions)

EVENTS

• Farina American Legion Bingo
• Crossroads Beekeepers monthly meeting has been canceled

CHURCHES

• Beecher City Methodist Church Kids Club
• Calvary Baptist Church in Effingham, all events canceled for tonight.  Food pantry items scheduled for pickup today can be picked up Thursday between 4 and 5pm.
• Altamont Christian Church Wednesday night kids program has been canceled
• Centenary United Methodist Church in Effingham has canceled Handbell choir and Alleluia choir rehearsals; and Senior youth group, and the church office closed as of 12 pm
• Cornerstone Christian Church in Effingham, all Wednesday night activities.
