Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Effingham Fire Chief Brant Yochum has announced that the City Hall basement will be used as a shelter starting at 9PM until the end of the stormy weather.
City Hall is located at 201 East Jefferson Avenue in downtown Effingham.
Kinmundy has also announced a shelter will be open for the incoming storm system.

The Kinmundy Christian Church will be open for anyone that needs shelter from this storm that is headed our way.
We have our police officer on duty this evening. If you have an emergency please call 911 and Marion County will dispatch him out.
Flora/Clay County ESDA has announced that the McCabe church is open for a shelter tonight it is located at the corner of old 50 and Lincoln rd. And Xenia Fire Dept. has announced the Christ United Church (Old Methodist) is open as a Shelter.
