Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Transportation Committee held their regular meeting Wednesday and heard more updates from Effingham County Public Transportation (ECPT) and CSS.
ECPT recently conducted a survey of current residents who use their service to gauge their satisfactory level with the service. The results showed a 95% satisfactory rate for those who use the service. Teutopolis is also interested in joining in on the service, and will have a special meeting next Wednesday to vote on funding to allocate toward the service to help it expand. Some Committee members also added other communities are showing interest in joining as well.
ECPT also updated the Committee on a Rebuild Round 3 Grant they are seeking, stating that the process is ongoing. No further updates could be provided at this time.
The Committee also approved:
- Resolution Authorizing Execution & Amendment of Section 5311 Grant Agreement
- Purchase of Service Agreement Between CEFS and Effingham County (15 vehicles)
The Committee also heard an update on CSS vehicles, stating that routes will be switched around intermittently to keep mileage close between busses.
