Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Delaine Donaldson of the Effingham County Cultural Center & Museum stopped by the studio to explain how a woman born in Ohio moved to the Effingham area and became a pioneer on the path to equal rights for women. Ada Kepley became a worldwide name due to her efforts in becoming the first woman to earn a law degree, and she did so much more for women worldwide during her life.

Thanks to Delaine Donaldson for detailing the impact that Ada Kepley had on the advancement of women’s rights throughout her life. Though somewhat lost throughout history, he helped usher in women’s rights to fair representation, equal right to college degrees, and voting rights.
