Shelters Being Opened For Those In Need During Severe Weather

Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- With the approaching severe weather, shelters are being opened for those in need.

You can view the list of shelters being opened below. If you know of any that are not listed, please reach out to us at 217-342-4141.

The Altamont VFW, located at 302 West Cumberland Road, will open at 4:00 pm today for anyone needing to shelter the approaching storm. They ask that pets be caged or restrained.
Shelters are opening in Flora.
