Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Board met Monday and approved a few different action items.
Courtney Yockey with the Alliance spoke briefly with the Board, announcing a few different events locally for public engagement. The Teutopolis Comprehensive Plan meeting is tonight at 7pm at the Teutopolis Banquet Hall. He also reminded of the Effingham Comprehensive Plan meeting on May 15th.
The Board also observed a moment of silence for Chuck Hartke, who served as a County Board member and as a representative in congress.
Board members also proclaimed April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month, National Police Week in May, and Law Day on Thursday, May 1.

- Approved Joint Funding Agreement for Federally Funded Construction, Resurfacing South Altamont

- Approved $9,000.00 Disbursement in Hotel/Motel Funding to Effingham County Fair for Sponsorship Level and Other Expenses
- Approved Return of Childcare Research Committee Gap Scholarship Earmarked Funds in amount of $11,400.00 to ARPA Funding
- Approved $3,040.00 Allocation in ARPA Funding to Repair North Approach Sidewalk for Historic Gazebo and Courtyard Project
- Approved $566.32 Disbursement in Capital Improvement Funding for Health Department Infrastructure Improvements
- Approved $3,750.00 Disbursement in Capital Improvement Funding for County Building 1st Floor Window Caulking
- Approved $300,000.00 Disbursement in Capital Improvement Funding for Purchase of Property for Effingham County Morgue
