Effingham, Il – Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth announced her pregnancy to her second child earlier today.
In a released statement Duckworth said, “Bryan and I are thrilled that our family is getting a little bit bigger, and Abigail is ecstatic to welcome her baby sister home this spring,”
She continued on by thanking both Nor5western, and George Washington University for assisting them.
Duckworth is going to be the first senator to give birth while in office, and only one of 10 women who have done it while serving congress.

A few hours ago she thanked her constituents, and supporters for the messages of congratulations adding that this will only make her more committed in the future.
