Altamont, Il – Tonight Altamont High School had their first Varsity Basketball game after the passing of Vice Principal, and Athletic Director Todd Arnold.
Before the game players along with students, family, and fans of the team all together took a moment of silence to remember Arnold.
Altamont High School Principal, Jerry Tkachuk stated in a brief interview, “I am very glad we could do this tonight,”
“Mr. Arnold loved basketball, it was his passion along with his favorite sport.”
Tkachuk continued on by saying that if Arnold was there he would want this game to happen tonight.
He felt greatful that the community was able to come together to honor him tonight.
This upcoming thursday Altamont Schools will be closing early, so as to allow for friends, family, students, and faculty to attend Todd’s visitation that will be hosted at Altamont High School.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday.
