Effingham, Ill. – Earlier this morning at approximately 9:40 a.m. the Effingham Fire Department (EFD) was called to Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for a vehicle on fire.
Upon arrival the fire had already been extinguished, however there was still smoke coming from the vehicle.
According to EFD the cause of the fire was unclear, however there was some indication that there was an electrical issue.
EFD did share that the fire originated on the front end near the engine before moving to the dash.
The owner of the vehicle was contacted however, they declined to comment.
There was not any indication as to how much the fiscal total of damage was done to vehicle.
No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
