Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Six airports are being named winners of the 2019 Airport of the Year award by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Winners include Quincy Regional Airport, Lake in the Hills Airport, Rochelle Municipal Airport, Effingham County Memorial Airport, and Cushing Field.
The Ann and Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago was named Heliport of the Year.
The awards will be presented Thursday at the Illinois Aviation Conference in East Peoria.
