MATTOON, IL-(Effingham Radio)-The following has been released by the Mattoon Police Department:
On Thursday, May 9th, at approximately 2:30pm, the Mattoon Police Department, with the assistance of the East Central Illinois Drug Task Force, served a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of South 16th Street in Mattoon.
As a result of the search warrant, four individuals were arrested.
Kenneth E. Burnett, 38 years of age of Mattoon, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Ammunition by a Felon, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
The charges allege that during the course of the search warrant, Methamphetamine was located within the residence, and investigation revealed Mr. Burnett had been selling Methamphetamine from within the residence.
The charges also allege firearm ammunition and an improvised explosive device was located within Mr. Burnett’s living quarters.
Mr. Burnett is a convicted felon who is not allowed to possess those items.
Also arrested during the course of the search warrant was Tiffany A. Butera, 35 years of age of Mattoon, for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine.
The charge alleges that during the course of the search warrant, Ms. Butera was located inside the residence, and had an active Coles County Warrant for her arrest for a probation violation on a Methamphetamine charge.
Butera is also alleged to have been found in possession of over 13 grams of Methamphetamine.
Dandre R. Hall, 32 years of age of Mattoon, formerly of Louisiana, was also arrested in relation to the search warrant for Delivery of Methamphetamine.
That charge alleges that Hall was found to be in possession of over 28 grams of Methamphetamine packaged for delivery.
Ruby L. Burnett, 42 years of age, was arrested in regards to the search warrant as well for the offense of Obstructing / Resisting a Police officer.
The charge alleges that during the execution of the search warrant, Ms. Burnett came upon the property being secured and searched by police, and although repeatedly ordered to leave the property, refused to do so.
The charge also alleges Ms. Burnett struggled with police during the course of her arrest.
Kenneth Burnett, Tiffany Butera, and Dandre Hall were all taken to the Coles County Jail.
Ruby Burnett posed bond, was released, and is scheduled to appear in Coles County Circuit Court.
