Teutopolis, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The following was released by the Teutopolis Fire Department in a post to their Facebook Page:
“At 15:43 hrs on 8/1/19, Teutopolis Firefighters (Squad 655, Engine 651, Brush 656, Chief 600, and Assistant Chief 603) were dispatched to a reported head-on 3-vehicle accident on East 1600th Avenue at North 1600th.
Upon arrival all vehicles were upright however 2 of the vehicles were ”fused” together.
Firefighters utilized hydraulic tools (Jaws of Life) to separate them in order for them to be towed.
Abbott EMS transported 1 driver to St Anthony Hospital. Effingham County Sheriff is investigating the cause of the accident.
Firefighters cleared the scene at 16:45 hrs.”
