Davenport, IA -(Effingham Radio)- There will be storms across western Illinois today, but the only question is how strong will they be.
The National Weather Service says folks from about Galesburg to just south of Springfield, and from one side of the state to the other, have an enhanced risk for severe weather.
That means heavy rain, hail, high winds, and maybe even a tornado or two are a possibility.
The rest of western Illinois will see some storms as well, but the area just south of the Quad Cities will see the worst.
