Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- At approximately 7:15 am Friday, the Effingham Police Department and Abbott EMS received a call of an unresponsive individual at 2200 Historic Hills Drive in Effingham, Illinois. Officers arrived and discovered a deceased male in the bedroom of the camper. The truck and camper had pulled off the interstate and parked in the area overnight. The husband and wife were heading to Florida from Wisconsin.
Effingham County Coroner’s office was called to respond to the scene. The deceased individual was identified as Daniel Worrell, age 60, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.
Worrell was transported to the HSHS St. Anthony morgue. The Coroner’s office is assisting his wife (Tana) with out of state arrangements. The Worrell family is enroute to Effingham from St. Croix Falls to help their mother take the truck and camper back to Wisconsin.
No foul play is involved and the death appears to be of natural causes. The investigation is pending by the Coroner’s Office.
