On Thursday afternoon Effingham High School senior Parker Wolfe signed his letter of intent to play basketball at Illinois Wesleyan University.
Parker keeps it all in the family as he’s older brother Grant also played basketball at Illinois Wesleyan. So IW always had Parker on their radar.
“It just fit me well, their basketball program is a good fit for me, the speed, they like to shoot the outside shot and just the school in general. I think it will just be a good home for me the next four years” Parker said on his signing to Wesleyan.
Parker was a standout in basketball and football. He was apart of both teams winning Apollo Conference titles in both sports. This year especially with shortened seasons and no postseason in either sport, it was important to the guys to accomplish that goal. “It was super important to because of no postseason and we only lost one game between the two sports and it just meant a lot to be apart of two very good teams.”
And the Wolfe pipeline of athletes to IW continues, as his older brother Landon plans on transferring to Wesleyan in the upcoming future.
