Farina, IL-(Effingham Radio)- On October 14th, 2021, the South Central FFA Chapter hosted their 2nd annual “Feed A Farmer” event.
The event was hosted at South Central High School, where FFA members spent their evenings preparing meals for area farmers who wanted a free meal that night. The meals included brats, pork loins, hotdogs, apples, granola bars, chips, and water.
Some meals were handed out by FFA members, to farmers waiting in line at ADM’s Grain Elevator in Farina. Other farmers picked their meals up from South Central High School. In the end, South Central FFA, ended up giving away 133 meals to local farmers.
This event allows the organization to give back to the community, in return for the support that South Central FFA receives from the community.
