Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Shelby County Health Department announced for the period of January 10, 2022 thru January 13, 2022 [4-Days] two hundred fifty-seven county residents have tested positive for Covid-19.
State metrics for the week end January 8, 2022, has Shelby County’s seven day rolling average for positivity increasing to 18.1% from the previous week of 11.5%. Weekly positive rates per 100,000 population increased to 1361 per 100K, greatly above the state’s targeted rate of 50 per 100K. Shelby County now has four thousand nine hundred and forty-eight (4948) confirmed residents that have tested positive for Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
For vaccinations, please contact the Family Health Care Center at 217-774-4400 to schedule an appointment to receive the two dose Pfizer vaccine or a booster shot vaccination. For the Moderna vaccine visit www.Walmart.com, click on the tab at the top on left side “HEALTH SERVICES” choose Book your Covid-19 vaccination. Moderna boosters and vaccinations are also offered during normal walk-in hours at the Shelbyville Walmart pharmacy on a first come first served bases without scheduling an appointment on the web site.
