Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Chamber has released the following:
The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Koerner Distributor, Inc, the Chamber Foundation of Effingham County, John Boos, and the Kansas City BBQ Society to host the EffingHAM-JAM State BBQ Championship July 22-23. The event will be held in Downtown Effingham around the Old Courthouse. Funds generated support Chamber Foundation of Effingham County’s Scholarship Program and EC-JOBS (Effingham County Job Opportunities for Business Success), a county wide workforce initiative.

Beer Tent
- *Check ID/provide arm bands, sell tickets, serve drinks
- -Friday, July 22: 4:30-7:30 pm (20 people) and/or 7:30-10:30 pm (20 people)
- -Saturday, July 23: 10:00 am-1:00 pm (12 people), 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm (12)
Hometown Throwdown
- *Collect tickets from food purchasers at specific booths, serve samples and provide items to cooking teams
- -Friday, July 22: 4:30-8:00 pm (20 people)
Information Booth
- *Providing information
- -Friday, July 22: 1:00-4:00 pm (2 people), 4:00-7:00 pm (2 people) and/or 7:00-10:30 pm (2 people)
- -Saturday, July 23: 9:00-11:00 am (2 people), 11:00 am-1:00 pm (2 people), 1:00-3:00 pm (2 people)
Event Tear Down/Clean Up
- *Help the Chamber Foundation staff and volunteers with tear down and clean up
- -Saturday, July 23: 4:00-6:00 pm (8 people)
Floater
- *You’re flexible and can work where volunteers are needed the most.
- -Friday, July 22: 4:30-7:00 pm (3 people) and 7:00-9:30 pm (3 people)
- -Saturday, July 23: 9:00 am-Noon (3 people) and Noon– 3:00 pm (3 people)
