Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Illinois residents should be prepared for near-record heat next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln, on Monday through Wednesday temperatures will be in the mid to upper 90’s, with near-record temperatures in some locations.
Heat Indices will be over 100 degrees; some locations could be as hot as 110 degrees.
In the later half of next week, highs look to be in the upper 80s to low 90s.
