Teutopolis And Montrose Firefighters Respond To Multi-Semi Accident On Westbound I-70

Effingham County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- From The Teutopolis Fire Protection District’s Facebook Page:

On Wednesday 9/27/2022 at 18:08 hours, Teutopolis Firefighters responded automatic aid to Montrose FPD to a reported two to three semi tractor trailer accident on Interstate 70 westbound at milemarker 105 in the construction zone.

Investigation by first arriving units from Montrose FPD revealed no entrapment or extrication needed. Refusals obtained from drivers of the semi’s. Wreckage off the roadway allowed for westbound traffic in one lane thru the construction zone to remain open. ISP investigating the cause of the accident.

Teutopolis cleared the scene at 18:44 hours and Montrose cleared at 19:06 hours.
