After capturing the Bob Kearns Tournament Championship on Friday, New Week Same Ol Indians. Altamont uses some outstanding shooting from three point range to open the game and go on to win 78-54.
Altamont really feels comfortable at home and the Lady Indians came out shooting lights out from beyond the arc. The game started with back to back threes from Grace Nelson. Peyton Osteen would also knock down a pair and Claire Boehm would knock down another as well. Altamont used those five from long range to open up a 20 point lead after the opening quarter 30-10.
Dieterich’s Cortney Brummer tried to keep the Maroons in it, scoring seven in the quarter but it was Altamont who would increase their lead 46-22 at the half.
The Maroons would come out of the locker room almost like how Altamont started, by making almost everything. Dieterich went on a 11-2 run to start the quarter. A couple of baskets by Kady Tegeler Brummer and Miley Britton, only could get the Maroons as close as 15. However a put back by Kaylee Lurkins stopped the run and some baskets by Nelson and Boehm would have the lead back up to 60-38 after three.
Altamont would put the Maroons to bed on Pajama Day at Altamont High School. In the fourth quarter with some and 1s by Nelson and a three from Boehm. The final score was 78-54 to kickoff homecoming week the right way for Altamont.
Lady Indians also improves to 6-0 and 2-0 in the NTC and take on Casey Westfield at home on Thursday.
Dieterich falls to 4-4 on the season.
