Vandalia “Shop With A Cop” Program Still On, Donations Needed To Stave Off The Grinch

So we have good news and bad news. The good news is that our Shop with a Cop event is still on for next month and we have funds in place for that.

However…. the Grinch is doing his best to ruin Christmas for next year. Unfortunately we have seen a dramatic decrease in donations this year. As of right now we have only have few donations this month.

We have had a couple of citizens donate and we want to thank them. Along with Andy’s Auto Body for their generous donation. We also want to thank magician, Dustin Cade at Sleightly Magical for his donation to the program from his show at Old Tyme Christmas.

Remember we have funds for this year. In the past we have had great donations and we have held funds over for the next year. We have always been able to rely on our community for this event. We know things have changed with the economy over the last couple of years and if you are unable to contribute we understand. However if you have been thinking about making a contribution any amount would be beneficial. We will not go door to door asking for donations as we know that everyone is getting hit hard with request for donations.

If you would like to donate you can drop a donation off at the PD or at Land of Lincoln Credit Union. You can also mail you donation to 219 South 5th St in Vandalia.
