Severe Weather Possible Friday

Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- There’s a possibility that our area will see severe thunderstorms on Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln and the Storm Prediction Center, there’s a 30% chance of severe storms in Central and Southeastern Illinois on Friday.

The timing for the storms currently looks to be in the afternoon and evening.

Currently, the NWS and SPC cannot rule out the hazards of damaging wind gusts, large hail, and tornadoes.
