Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Thanks to the efforts of the Effingham Park District and wonderful donors and supporters, we’re happy to announce that the Evergreen Bark Park is officially open for use. The fence has been constructed with separations for small dogs and large dogs. Future plans are in place to continue construction as more funds are raised by our group and the Effingham Park District. Items such as water fountains, benches, shade structures, ADA accessible sidewalks and more are planned.
To commemorate the opening of the Evergreen Bark Park, we would like to invite you to the ribbon cutting and grand opening event on Saturday, May 6th starting at 10:00 am. The ribbon cutting will take place at 10:30 am. Microchipping and nail clipping will be available as well as raffle prizes and other pet related vendors. We hope you can join us for this special occasion!
As a continued fundraiser, we are offering pavers. Purchase a personalized, commemorative brick to honor a precious friend or in memory of a treasured loved one, two, or four legged. Your brick will be permanently displayed at the Evergreen Bark Park and pay tribute to those you choose to remember.
As always, we are accepting donations. We are excited about this stage of the park, and we’re looking forward to more added fun for your fur babies. In order to stay updated on the progress of the dog park, please visit our Facebook page.
