Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Expect warm and humid conditions tomorrow, followed by the possibility of severe thunderstorms on Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for tomorrow is looking to be warm and humid.
A 20% chance exists for showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon until sunset; however, most areas will remain dry.
This means good weather for fireworks displays.
Additionally, they are forecasting thunderstorms, some of which could be severe for the majority of Central Illinois on Wednesday.
Storms are expected to develop across the Illinois River valley in the afternoon before advancing eastward across Central and Eastern Illinois during the evening.
The main hazards are an elevated risk of damaging winds and large hail; however, there is a low risk of brief tornadoes from 3-11pm and flash flooding will be possible.
As such, the entirety of Central Illinois is rated at a Slight or Level 2 of 5 risk for severe weather.
