Mt. Vernon, IL-(Effingham Radio)- On Friday, August 25, 2023, eight South Central FFA members participated in the Equine Career Development Event that was hosted by the Mount Vernon FFA Chapter at King City Saddle Club, in Mount Vernon. Participants judge four Quarter Horses by structure, soundness, and overall quality, to be used by ranchers, farmers, and riders.
The Chapter placed 7th overall in Section 19 with Addisyn Sigrist placing in the top 10. Other top scorers were River Yingst and Meagan Lotz. South Central FFA members who participated included Addisyn Sigrist , River Yingst, Meagan Lotz, Kiera Cowger, Chase Hassebrock, Ameilia Montes, Karli Holmes, and Lucas Curry.
