Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Please join us in communicating the importance of showing up to school. A missed school day is a lost opportunity to learn. Attending school regularly is essential to students gaining the academic and social skills they need to succeed. Poor attendance has serious implications for later outcomes.
The good news is that chronic absence can be significantly reduced when schools, families, and community partners work together to monitor data, nurture a habit of regular attendance, and address hurdles that keep children from getting to school every day such as lack of access to health care, unhealthy environmental conditions, unreliable transportation, or housing instability.
We are seeking your assistance in spreading awareness, providing support, and encouraging school attendance. As we highlight school attendance matters this week, please feel free to follow us on social media, share our images and newsletter (attached), and let’s promote showing up together!
Every student, every day.
