Charleston, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Regional Office of Education #11 proudly announces that Regional Superintendent, Dr. Kyle Thompson, has been appointed as a key member of the IASA Vision 2030 Workgroup. The Illinois Association of Administrators (IASA) recently developed this visionary initiative following the previously successful framework of its Vision 20/20. Vision 2030 aims to revolutionize the landscape of public education across the Prairie State.
IASA’s Vision 2030 sets a course for fulfilling the promise of public education by fostering collaboration and unity among educational organizations, school districts, and dedicated educators. It provides a platform for articulating the principles that educators stand for and aspire to achieve. Over 100 educational leaders, representing every corner of the state, are bringing a variety of educational perspectives and engaging in in-depth discussions on crucial education policies and issues such as literacy, school safety, pensions, and the teacher shortage. The four workgroups are: Student Success, Educator Excellence, Accountability, and Finance and Funding. Thompson is serving in the educator excellence workgroup.
“It is an honor to be included in this important statewide effort,” said Thompson. Thompson brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and deep commitment to the future of education. His involvement in this initiative underscores his passion for improving education and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. “Over the last decade, my office has made significant efforts to attract and retain high quality educators,” Thompson noted. “We must continue to remove barriers to entering the profession and allow for multiple pathways to obtaining educator licensure.”
Thompson serves as Regional Superintendent of Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Moultrie, and Shelby Counties. For more information about the IASA Vision 2030 Workgroup or the efforts of the Regional Office of Education #11, please contact Dr. Kyle Thompson at (217)348-0151.
