Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Effingham is welcoming the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, an unprecedented nationwide pilgrimage where Catholics will pray and publicly follow Jesus in their cities through Eucharistic processions. A portion of the Eucharistic procession through Effingham with be held July 12 with a brief service in front of HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, followed by a procession to St. Anthony’s of Padua Parish for Mass.
- 8:30 a.m. – Service at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, followed by Eucharistic Procession to St. Anthony of Padua Church
- 9:30 a.m. – Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church
Service will be held at the main entrance of St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, 503 North Maple St., Effingham. Eucharistic Procession will proceed down Virginia Avenue to St. Anthony Church, 101 East Virginia Avenue, Effingham.
In the case of inclement weather, the service will be moved to the hospital’s Chapel.
Please park in the colleague parking lot to the north of the hospital on the corner of Maple St. and Temple Ave., or the patient parking lot to the south of the Prairie Heart entrance on the corner of Maple St. and St. Anthony’s Ave. The ceremony will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. so please arrive 5-10 minutes prior.
