I have not spoken to the families about this, but the school has had massive outreach to give donations. Donations at this time are not being requested, but I understand the people and businesses just wanting to give in support. My reply to everyone thus far has been to allow the families to dictate where donations will go and give them at the services.
However, if you are not attending services and wanting to give, the school will collect these. At a more appropriate time/date the families can then decide what they wish to do with it.
We do not have a venmo, gofundme, etc. as donations are not requested, we are just trying to provide a trusted and safe place for those that are wishing to give outside of giving at one or all of the services. You can contact Justin Deters at jdeters@stew-stras.org or 217-682-3355, Supt option. Or, just bring it to the High School office.
Keep praying and keep supporting each other. Stay strong Stew-Stras Family.
