Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The summer heat returns this week.
While thunderstorms are in the forecast for the entire work week, it will not be a complete washout. Most storms this week will be scattered, but still capable of copious amounts of rain. The main story will be the heat, with triple digit heat index values widespread from Tuesday through Thursday.
Stay out of the heat if possible, but if you do need to be outdoors, make sure to stay hydrated and take plenty of breaks to avoid becoming overheated.
