Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The summer heat continues through Tuesday, but cooler temperatures are on the way.
Heat index readings will top out in the 100 to 105 degree range this afternoon and Tuesday afternoon. Cumulative affects of heat can elevate the impacts of heat illnesses. Remember your heat safety tips today and tomorrow as very hot and humid conditions develop each day.
After Tuesday, a cold front comes through the area and high temps will only reach the mid 80’s through the weekend.
