Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Even after the general election, there is still another election to participate in here locally: the consolidated election for local townships.
From Michelle Kollman, Effingham County Clerk & Recorder:
Right now is the time for candidates to be circulating petitions for the Consolidated Election. The filing period to file your candidate paperwork will be November 12-18, 2024.
All candidates will file with the clerk of the city, village, park, etc. The candidates filing to run for school board will file with the County Clerk’s office. A caucus will be held on Tuesday, December 3 for township candidates. That is where they will be nominated for their position they want to run for.
There will not be a Primary held for the Consolidated Election. The Consolidated Election day is April 1, 2025.
If you would like more information on the upcoming consolidated election, call Michelle Kollman at 217-342-6535.
