Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- General Motors is recalling nearly 80-thousand vehicles because of a safety issue with the transmission.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall involves some 2022 and 2023 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles. NHTSA [[ NIT-suh ]] says incorrect software in the transmission could result in reduced power, unintended deceleration, or rear-wheel lockup. It could also cause the vehicle to move in an unintended direction.
The recall notice says dealers will update the software free of charge.
