Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The bitter cold sticks around for most of the week, and we have another chance for some snow.
Cold conditions will be in place to start the week along with a chance for light snow on Tuesday. Expect nightly chances for wind chill values to drop below zero for at least portions of central Illinois.
There is high confidence that bitter cold temperatures will continue for the next two weeks. These temperatures will likely be 10 to 20 degrees below normal for January. Temps will briefly turn more mild to end the week.
A clipper system will bring a quick round of snow to portions of central Illinois Tuesday morning. Overall accumulations appear to be light, but up to around an inch is possible north of I-70. Slick roads are possible with the snow affecting the Tuesday morning commute.
