Vandalia PD Investigating Two Burglaries That Occurred At Vandalia Restaurants

Vandalia, IL-(I-70 Media, Inc.)- The Vandalia Police Department is investigating two burglaries that occurred at Vandalia restaurants.

Vandalia Police Chief Jeff Ray says the Vandalia Police Department is currently investigating two early morning burglaries at local businesses.  Chief Ray says the first incident was reported at 7:22 am on Monday at El Ranch Nuevo, followed by a second report at 8:21 am from Los Amigos.

Chief Ray says that in both cases, the suspect gained entry by breaking the glass on the front door.  Once inside, the suspect caused damage to the premises while rummaging through the businesses.

Chief Ray says that officers are actively investigating and reviewing surveillance footage to identify the individual or individuals responsible.  Chief Ray says the extent of the damage and property loss is still being assessed.
